Actually a pretty modern place.

The castle was burned to the ground by a drunk realative of the king.  Thus a lot of the building are pretty new.  They are excavating the entrance from the old mote and some of the original walls.

I love a red room.

This is a reception room. The chairs are back to back so that during the victorian age, a gentleman could speak to one lady without ofending the other.
